"For your information, the unit has been fitted to a high speed off shore enforcement vessel which is powered by large inboard diesels and very noisy Hamilton Water Jets.

The DZM system has been a very efficient way of communication and flight tracking for our company and operations. The ability to combine the tracking, cellular communications and satellite phone into the one interface is of major benefit for our aircraft. With the multi role environment we operate in with Air Ambulance, EMS, SAR. Police, Marine SAR all requiring radio equipment, space and ICS capacities are stretched enough. The DZM has been a reliable and cost effective multi-functional device.
Our operating environment is often remote with no radio or cell coverage, having the means of reliable communications and flight following are essential for the safety and effectiveness of missions at all times. - The DZM has proven to be reliable at both of these aspects.
In partnership with the Tracplus system the DZM has allowed enhanced safety and mission performance, particularly with SAR missions to be monitored real time by Police SAR, NZ Rescue Co-ordination Centre, and Marine SAR. Ambulance control has very excellent means of tracking both our EMS helicopters and Air Ambulance fixed wing aircraft allowing effective asset management.

For remote area and over Water operations, Skywork use aircraft fitted with the Flightcell DZM communication and tracking system.
The assurance and enhanced safety provided by this system means that the pilot is always contactable.Current aircraft position and historical flight information is available to our operations team and permitted clients irrespective of where the aircraft is in the world.
In 2006 as part of a cockpit rationalisation we selected FlightCell DZM as a tracking system; the deciding factor for skywork was the inclusion of the both satellite and cell phone with all functionality available from a compact single head unit.The advantages of voice communications via the DZM have been realized when working with search and rescue organizations and rural fire services as this is the only method of communication between the aircraft ,ground commander and the coordination centers for situation reporting when out of radio range.With recent enhancements to the DZM,the pilots now find the system intuitive especially when making and taking phone calls from an expanded contacts list.
We have progressively installed and upgraded the five systems into our aircraft with another installation scheduled for mid year. The system has proven itself operationally and combined with the service and support we receive, the flightcell DZM is an excellent and complete communication and tracking package.
we have no hesitation in recommending this system to other operators.
